Chaitra Navratri will start on March 18 and will conclude by March 26. This is one festival where the nine days different rituals are carried out. All the nine days hold a different significance and it is of most important in India. Hindu culture follows all the rules and rituals very carefully. It is said that all these nine days have different colors and each different color has different significance. These nine days are dedicated to Goddess Durga, Laxmi, Saraswati. The first three days are dedicated to Maa Durga, the next three days are dedicated to Goddess Laxmi and the remaining days are dedicated to Goddess Saraswati.

All the nine days has different colors to signify. On the first day of Navratri people often wears Orange color, the second day of Navratri it is observed that people wear White clothes. On the third day of Navratri it is observed that people wear Red color. The fourth day it is witnessed that Royal blue is worn. People wear Yellow clothes. Green color is worn on the sixth day of Navratri. Grey is worn on the seventh day of Navratri. People often wear Purple color on eighth day. Green color is worn on the ninth day of Navratri.

Different colors are worn on all the nine days. The nine days specify different meanings. Each day has different meanings. Ghatsthapana will take place on the first day of Navratri. Chandra Darshan, Sindoor Dooj, Chandraghanta Puja these all rituals will take place on March 19. Gauri Teej, Saubhagya Teej, Chandraghanta Puja will take place on March 20. Kushmanda Puja, Varad Vinayaka Chauth will take place on March 21. Naag Puja, Lakshmi Panchami will take place on March 22. Yamuna Chhath, Katyayani Puja will take place on March 23. Maha Saptami, Kalaratri Puja will take place on March 24. Ashtami & Navami is on March 25. All these have different meaning in one’s life.
