Will work towards formation of ‘new India’: Ministers

Union Ministers Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and Dharmendra Pradhan on Sunday thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the new responsibility entrusted to them and said they will work towards formation of “new India”.

“The responsibility that has been given to me, I will try to fulfil those responsibilities. We are working for the youth, poor and farmers. We are working towards forming a new India which will be the India for the poor and weaker sections,” Naqvi said after he was sworn-in as a Union Minister in the morning.

“I am a party worker, time to time different responsibilities are given,” he added.

On similar lines, Pradhan said: “We have to move towards a new India by 2022, it is the common goal for everyone. We will work towards it.”

“I am thankful that they considered an ordinary party worker like me for this role,” he added.

Pradhan, Naqvi, Power Minister Piyush Goyal and Commerce and Industry Minister Nirmala Sitharaman were elevated as cabinet ministers in a reshuffle on Sunday.
