Terrorists who attacked Amarnath Yatra pilgrims, killed in Qazigund encounter

The terrorist who attacked Amarnath pilgrims has finally wiped out by the Indian Army in yesterday’s encounter. As per the reports, the Jammu and Kashmir police said that three LeT militants and two Pakistani were killed in the encounter in Jammu and Kashmir’s Qazigund area. These terrorists were involved in the Amarnath Yatra attacked earlier this year. The police said that the bodies of two terrorists were recovered yesterday and the third terrorist named Yawar who’s body was recovered today from the area. Also, the police have caught one militant alive.

This year on 10th July, terrorists of Lashkar-e-Taiba carried out attack on Amarnath Yatris which killed 8 pilgrims and injured more than 19 pilgrims. However, the terrorists who attacked Amarnath Yatra were killed yesterday by Indian Army. As per the reports, the Indian Army in the encounter killed all the Amarnath Yatra attackers.

According to the Shesh Paul Vaid, the encounter was carried out on last afternoon when the militants have opened up firing over Army convoy on its way to Srinagar, at Qazigund on Jammu-Srinagar national highway. However, the attack on Army convoy killed one soldier. The police identified three dead terrorists as Yawar Basir, Abu Furqan and Abu Maviya who were hailed from Habiash of Kulgam and joined Lashkar-e-Taiba this year in February.
