The Foreign affairs minister of India Sushma Swaraj met Ivanka Trump at UNGA the United Nations General Assembly in New York. In this meet, Ivanka Trump a daughter Donald Trump discussed women’s entrepreneurship and workforce development between two countries. She would be leading American delegation to the Global Entrepreneurship Summit in India in November this year. The India’s foreign minister Sushma Swaraj also meet the foreign ministers of Japan and US to emphasized the need for ensuring freedom of navigation, peaceful resolution of disputes and respect for international law. They led a trilateral meeting in the backdrop of Doklam crisis.
In United Nations General Assembly the three top diplomats India’s external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj, Japanese foreign minister Taro Kono and US secretary of state Rex Tillerson have a discussion and exchanged some views on security, proliferation issues, respect for international law and connectivity. They also hold a discussion on China who engages in territorial disputes on the both the South China Sea and the East China Sea.
China is a country who claimed sovereignty over all of South China Sea. While on last month India and China ended the 73-day standoff in Doklam area of Sikkim sector that was again triggered by China to build a road on the Doklam border area. Sushma swaraj also poured up with North Korea’s recent missile action. As per the reports, Sushma Swaraj visited New York on Monday to attend a 72nd annual session of the UN General Assembly and she is scheduled to address the United Nations on September 23. And she will also attend a high-level meeting on UN reforms that will be hosted and chaired by US President Donald Trump.
