Sonam Kapoor, one of the most popular actress’ in India, is going to be married on May 8 2018 to her longtime boyfriend, Anand Ahuja. There had been rumors that the two might be tying the knot but no confirmation had been made yet. But now, an official statement has made it clear that the two will marry soon. Recently, the wedding cards of the actress’ wedding had been released and they look as mesmerizing as one would expect from people of taste like the couple. The first one is washed in green color, with a leaf in the corner, perfectly bordering the piece of paper.
The card reads, “We request the pleasure of your gracious presence at the wedding ceremony of Sonam and Anand”. The couple are going to marry through the Sikh ritual, “Anand Karaj”, which is a marriage ceremony, that usually takes place in a Gurudwara. The tinsel town has been buzzing with the news of the marriage, and Sonam brother, and an actor himself, Arjun Kapoor, has visited the home for the preparations for the wedding and other rituals that are going to be performed in the days leading up to it. Sonam’s sister Rhea, posted a video on her Instagram account, in which he is heard saying that it feels like he is attending Veere di wedding, which happens to be the title of Sonam’s upcoming movie.
Sonam has said in an interview that she doesn’t like extravagant weddings, so it seems that the fashionista isn’t going to have a grand wedding, but it could be a private ceremony in Mumbai in which only close friends and family are invited.
