Congress Leader Shashi Tharoor has a made a controversial comment while speaking at an even in Thiruvananthapuram of Tuesday, that if the BJP Party is re-elected in 2019, it is going to turn the country into Hindu Pakistan. He also said that the minority communities are going to be crushed under the reign of the government. He also snarked that the party is going to write its own constitution, which is going to be restrictive and include the minorities as deserving of equal rights. His comments have already attracted venom and condemnation from the BJP party, which has also demanded an apology from him.
Tharoor’s comments are now being criticized, as Sambit Patra, the National Spokesperson of BJP wrote on his twitter page, “MR Sashi Tharoor says India will become “Hindu-Pakistan” if BJP returns to power in 2019! Shashi Tharoor has recently been embroiled in controversy because he was charged by the police for abetting the suicide of his wife, Sunanda Pushkar. She was found dead in a Five Star Delhi Hotel, on January 17 2014. The relationship of the couple had been sensitive, and the police has evidence that Tharoor ignored her last messages, and even disconnected her phone calls.
