Sharad Yadav Fallout : JD-U suspends 21 member for supporting anti-party activity

Janata Dal (United) on Monday suspended 21 members, including Ramai Ram a former minister on charges of anti-party activity. All 21 members, backed rebel leader, Sharad Yadav, who opposed tying up with NDA to form government in Bihar. JD(U) member and former MP from Sitamarhi was also suspended.

Bihar JD-U President Vashistha Narayan Singh issued a statement naming the 21 who were suspended from their primary membership. Earlier, Janata Dal United passed an order to remove Sharad Yadav who revolted against party’s decision to shake hands with the BJP in Bihar, as its leader in the Rajya Sabha and replaced him with R.C.P. Singh, a trusted lieutenant of Nitish Kumar. On Friday, the JD-U suspended Rajya Sabha member Ali Anwar Ansari from the parliamentary party after he attended a meeting of opposition parties convened by Congress chief Sonia Gandhi.

Earlier, In a chain of event, exposure of corruption charges were levelled against RJD supremo Lalu and his son tejaswi Yadav by CBI. Nitish Kumar then an RJD ally asked them to provide answers. Friends later became Foe, when Nitish did not get what he was looking for. Meanwhile RJD and its allies are crying foul and are terming it as a conspiracy by BJP through government machinery.
