Shaktipunj Express train seven coaches derailed in UP, no injuries reported

Shaktipunj Express heading to Jabalpur from Howrah derailed in Sonbhadra district today in the morning. Around seven coaches of the Shaktipunj express derailed in the eastern Uttar Pradesh Sonbhadra district, no one gets injured, as per the sources, no injuries reported yet. It is the fourth derailment incident in last 20 days. According to the sources, the Shaktipunj incident occurred at around 6:25 am. All the passengers are safe no one gets injured, they safely taken to the remaining coaches.

The Shaktipunj Express was traveling at an average speed of 40 km/hr said, officials. All the passengers of the derailed coaches have adjusted in the front portion of the train with the help of staff and the onboard TTE. Reports said that additional coaches will also be attached at the Singrauli for the passenger’s convenience. The official said that the reason for the derailment is not clear and the matter is under investigation.

Recently, Uttar Pradesh has reported two derailment incidents in less than a month and this is the third incident that has reported in UP. On 19 August, Utkal express derailed near Muzaffarnagar in which around 22 people have died and many got injured. Whereas later the Kafiyat Express incident have been reported that derailed in Auraiya district. In the Kafiyat Express incident around 100 people have injured. These derailment incidents led to the suspension of the number of senior officials and the change in the ministries posts of the Railway Board. Now the Ashwani Lohani who was earlier headed Air India has been appointed as the chairman of the Railway Board. While the Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu took responsibility for the derailments was replaced by Piyush Goyal.
