Rally for River is the breakthrough campaign that is launched by India Foundation to save the water bodies of this country. As per the reports, On Monday Varun Gandhi supports the campaign and said that the drive should start with Yamuna floodplains ruined last year. Rally for River is the campaign to revitalise the water bodies. The Rally for River campaign begun in India because it consists of the banks of major perennial rivers which now became seasonal due to high population, development and pollution. So, to protect our everlasting rivers Rally for River campaign was begun.

On the eve of Mahatma Gandhi birth anniversary various functions and events were organised related to cleanliness, safety and revitalising water bodies. So, on Monday the Rally for River campaign was initiated at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium that was buzzed as Sadhguru’s rolled out a Rally For River after covering nearly 7,000 Km across sixteen states. Delhi saw 144 events which held across the country to raise awareness about river among people.

The function also marked the participation of Union environment minister Harsh Vardhan, culture minister Mahesh Sharma, Bollywood actor Juhi Chawla, singer Sonu Nigam and as Chief Guest Vice-president Venkaiah Naidu was present at the event. The stadium was totally jampacked and the performances that depicting Sadhguru’s journey was also cheered by the people.
