Rahul Gandhi leads protest for injustice against the Dalit community, reaches Rajghat

Ranhul Gandhi, the leader of Congress party began  a day long fast in the protest against the injustice and atrocities against the Dalit community. Delhi Congress chief Ajay Maken  accompanied Rahul for his march to Rajghat, and all the employees and politicians from the Congress party held fast in support of the movement.  Along with remembering the violent clashes that occurred during the Dalit protest on April 2nd, the non-violent protest was also organized to show case how the centre has been inapt at managing the different situations relating to the CBSE paper leak, the multi-crore PNB scam, Cauvery issue and Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh.

The Dalit community protested nation wide on April 2, because of the dilution of the SC/ST act, however no such decision has yet been taken, the violence that erupted from the situation took lives of people and caused mayhem across the nation. It also put the BJP party before the scrutiy of the media and people, as they accused it for not handling the situation enough, which led to the loss of life and property.

The fast that was announced, was mocked by twitter because of its time limit, as people pointed out, not eating anything within the time limit of 11 am to 4 pm is not considered serious fasting , and could be done by anyone.
