2 police men were killed and 10 suffered injuries in a terrorist attack in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir today. The terrorists targeted a checkpoint in the region that was situated in the court complex. The terrorists attacked the guard post, firing on it, and stole the ammunition from the two policemen who had been present on the spot. The policemen were killed in the gunfight that ensued between them and the insurgents. The terrorists fired at the police picket, that was protecting the court complex in the morning. The name of the deceased personnel are Ghulam Rasool and Ghulam Hassan.

Terrorists also attacked a CRPF security post in Anantnag, which caused injuries to 10 personnel, but none were seriously hurt by the impact. They are being treated by the doctors in the local hospital. The attack took place in the very early hours of morning.  The security forces haven’t launched any assaults or firing, because of the orders of ceasefire by the Home Ministry. However, they are facing constant assault by the terrorists, from grenade attacks to firing at their posts. The attacks are totaled to 44 in just 20 days in the eve of Ramazan, the holy month for Muslim religion.

The security forces only react to the actions by the terrorists. They have been compelled to carry out only four operations, that had to be implemented because of the threat of eruption of violence in the region.
