Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Arunachal Pradesh for the first time since the Doklam situation last year, to inaugurate the Dorjee Khandu state convention centre and Civil Secretariat in Itanagar. At the ceremony, Modi targeted Congress, and said, that India has no scarcity of money, but the problem is that there is a hole in the bucket, then the water is going to flow out of it, and that’s how the country has been running in past years. Apart from the verbal jibe, Modi had other things to say to the people of Arunachal Pradesh.
After inaugurating the Dorjee Khandu State Convention Centre and Arunachal Civil Secretariat in Itanagar, he praised that because the departments have been shifted to the centre, the people from the villages in the are won’t have to travel to various stations, which is an advantage of coordination and convenience. He also urged the ministers to hold meetings at the Centre, and said that it isn’t necessarily to attend all meetings in the Capital of the nation.
Modi also told the crowd about the importance of Health education and the building of Medical colleges so that students have enough facilities to study medicine in the state and around the nation. Modi reminded people about the Naharlagun-New Delhi express, which is going to run twice a week and is going to be referred to as Arunachal Express.
