Pranab Mukherjee RSS Speech criticized by daughter Sharmistha Mukherjee

Sharmistha Mukherjee, the daughter of former President of India, Pranab Mukherjee,  today asked him on Twitter to reconsider the decision to speak at the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) in Nagpur. Sharmisth think’s that if Pranab attends the occasion, it is only going to be an opportunity for RRS and the BJP party to use his speech as a way to circulate, fake statements.  Sharmistha was quite blunt on twitter, as she wrote, “Hope @CitiznMukherjee now realises from todays’ incident, how BJP dirty tricks dept operates. Even RSS wouldn’t believe that u r going 2 endorse its views in ur speech. But the speech will be forgotten, visuals will remain & those will be circulated with fake statements.” “.@CitiznMukherjee By going 2 Nagpur, u r giving BJP/RSS full handle 2 plant false stories, spread falls rumours as 2day & making it somewhat believable. And this is just d beginning!”

There had been some reports that Sharmistha is going to join BJP after Pranab’s visit to Nagpur, however, it doesn’t seem to be true after her tweets today. And she has refuted such claims as well, blaming BJP for trying to spread rumors.

She has been a member of Congress party since 2014. She’s the president of Mahila Congress and also works as the in-charge of the communication department of the party’s Delhi group. There is obviously a conflict of interest between the father and daughter, and it seems that Sharmistha wanted to make her feelings public, so as to make them known to the world, which could probably stop Pranab. She also doesn’t hide her disdain for BJP party and doesn’t look too unfazed to accuse them of spreading fake information. She also doesn’t have much belief in the party, as she ends her tweet with a scathing, “this is just the beginning”, a final attempt to warn her father.
