Today, India is commemorating the 121st birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. The country is paying tribute to India’s famous freedom fighter Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose who was the well known nationalist leader and famously known for his contribution in establishing and leading the Indian National Army during the period of Indian freedom struggle. He was the younger leader of the Indian National Congress in the late 1920’s and 1930’s to become president of the party. In 1939, Netaji was ousted from Congress leadership position because of the rising differences with Mahatma Gandhi and the Congress high command. And later on, in 1940, he was placed under arrest by the British before escaping from India.
Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was born in Orrisa on 23rd January 1897. He was the philosophy student who became an active member of the Congress in Calcutta, but later on, in 1922, founded the Swaraj party. He was one of the most memorable leaders during the Independence period. He gave some famous slogans like ‘Jai Hind’ is the slogan which was used by him and later on adopted by the Indian Armed Forces and the Government of India, also, “Give me blood and I will give you freedom” was the most famous slogan of Netaji.
On his 121st birth anniversary today the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, President Ram Nath Kovind along with other prominent leaders and the followers of Netaji are paying honour and remembering Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose on his birthday. PM Narendra Modi tweeted one minute video to commemorate and pay tribute to the dedication of Netaji along with a message the courage of Netaji makes every Indian. He also added we bow to this great personality on his Jayanti. Also, President of India Ramnath Kovind paid his tributes to the great leader Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.
