PM Modi inaugurates 5th edition of Global Conference on Cyber Space; Umang App launches today

Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated 5th edition of the Global Conference on Cyber Space in Delhi today. The Global Conference on Cyber Space is one of the world’s largest conferences held on cyberspace. And this prestigious conference on Cyberspace brings together leading stakeholders to discuss aspects relating to the world of technology. This year the theme of the two-day conference is cyber for all to secure inclusive cyberspace for sustainable development. In India, this historic day marks two-day function of the Fifth edition of the Global Conference of Cyberspace.

As per the reports the Electronics, IT, Law and Justice Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said he believes that it is a recognition of India’s emerging role as a massive cyber power which accelerated by the Digital India pressure and required international acknowledgement. He added that the Global Conference on Cyber Space 2017 is four times bigger event than the previous edition in terms of its magnitude.

During the event inauguration of Global Conference on Cyber Space, PM Modi launched Umang app which is the mobile application to provide integration with popular customer centric services like Digilocker and E-Aadhaar. In this event, PM Modi talked about the Digital technology and said that this event will mark the participation of numerous ministers, academic personalities and industry leaders to talk about the global cyber ecosystem.
