Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday condoled the death of Trinamool Congress Lok Sabha member Sultan Ahmed.
“Saddened on the demise of Lok Sabha MP and former Union Minister Sultan Ahmed. My thoughts are with his family and supporters in this sad hour,” said the Prime Minister, who is currently in China for the BRICS summit, in a statement.
Ahmed, 64, died on Monday following a massive cardiac arrest at a Kolkata hospital. He is survived by his wife and two sons. He was the deputy leader of Trinamool’s parliamentary party.
