Padmavati controversy : BJP’s Suraj Pal Amu mocks Mamata Banerjee on supporting Bhansali’s movie

BJP leader of Haryana, Suraj Pal Amu, After announcing a bounty on Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Leela Bhansali, now directed his ire towards West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Saturday, who recently support to Bhansali on the controversy surrounding the movie ‘Padmavati’. Statement of BJP leader comes even after his party recently issued a show-cause notice to him. Amu said “I got to know Mamata Banerjee has welcomed Bhansali and his film to Kolkata. I want to tell her that this is the land of Lord Ram’s brother, Lakshman and I don’t need to explain what Lakshman did to Surpanaka.” BJP party also asked Amu to explain his objectionable remarks against Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

Few days before, Amu had made violent threats in regards to the controversy of a movie, ‘Padmavati’ announcing a bounty of Rs 10 crores for beheading Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Deepika Padukone. West Bengal C. M. Mamata Banerjee on Friday asserted that her state was ready to welcome the Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’ and its crew.

Padmavati Controversy has taken a shocking and violent turn on Friday after a man’s body was found hanging in Rajasthan, outside the Nahargarh Fort. But sill the Rajasthan police are investigating in the case to find out, whether the man committed suicide or was murdered to set an example for the people who are still supporting the movie.

Apart from that, the Delhi High court has dismissed the plea against the movie while saying that such petition is hopeless and misconceived and could incite unwanted violence around the country.
