Noida Traffic police announce diversion of heavy traffic on the day of Chhath Puja

Today on the day of Chhath Puja, traffic police of Noida announced diversion on the movement of heavy transport vehicles towards Kalindi Kunj. The traffic restriction will start from 28 October on Thursday from 2 PM to 9 AM on 29 October, Friday. More than 30,000  devotees are assuming to come on the bank of Yamuna river in Noida as well as in Delhi. Delhi government also did the special arrangement for the Chhath puja on the Yamuna ghats for the Devotees comfortability for offering prayers of Chhath puja. Noida Traffic cops also got a challenge to manage Noida expressway. During the movement of Chhath Puja, Heavy vehicles are prohibited on Noida to Greater Noida Expressway towards Kalindi Kunj which is left turn 70 meters before the Mahamaya Flyover.  They have to straight through Dadri-Delhi Link Road to Delhi-Noida-Direct Flyway.

Noida Traffic Police Inspector Layak Singh said that “No Heavy Transport Vehicle (HTV) will be allowed towards Kalindi Kunj. During the 19-hour traffic restriction, Heavy transport vehicles will have to take alternate routes to reach Delhi”. In addition, he also informed that light and the medium vehicle will b allowed on the left turn before the Mahamahaya flyover which is going towards the Kalindi Kunj as it will not be barricaded.

Singh said “Two more teams of traffic police will be there on both sides of the road leading to Kalindi Kunj as some devotees park their cars in the vacant area along the road for performing Puja. This causes traffic congestion. Traffic cops will be there to check any unauthorized parking of vehicles on both sides of the road”.
