NIA summons Kashmir Bar President

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has summoned Kashmir Bar Association President Mian Abdul Qayoom in connection with its ongoing probe into a terror funding case to stoke unrest in the Kashmir Valley.

A NIA official told IANS that Qayoom has to appear at its headquarters here on Wednesday.

On August 17, the NIA arrested prominent Kashmiri businessman Zahoor Watali on charges of passing money from Pakistan to militants, separatists and stone-pelters in the valley.

Earlier, the agency arrested seven separatist leaders in connection with its probe into terror funding from Pakistan and militant groups there.
