Narendra Modi travels to Chennai for Dina Thanthi celebrations, could visit M Karunanidhi

Narendra Modi has come to visit Cheenai today, for the 75th anniversary celebrations of Tamil daily Dina Thanthi. Modi will arrive and be welcomed by Governor Banwarilal Purohit. Prmie minister is then going to chart a helicopter and will then be greeted by Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswamy. Once he’s acquainted with everyone, according to some reports, Modi will be briefed about the damage that has come to the Chennai’s life and property due to heavy rains in its regions. They will also discuss the relief plans for people who have lost their properties and have seen damage done to their homes and workplaces.

“Modi will then proceed to Madras University Centenary Hall at 10.30 am to preside over the 75th anniversary celebrations of Tamil daily Dina Thanthi, where Banwarilal, Palaniswamy and Panneerselvam would participate,” the report also suggested.

Although, there has been no confirmation yet. Modi could also meet DMK chief M Karunanidhi. There has been a lot of additional security for the Prime Minister’s visit,10,000 policemen have been posted to the corners of the city, all the way to the Marina, as he will also be attending the wedding of the daughter of an IAS officer.
