Narendra Modi on fast, urges other lawmakers to do the same

The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, is on fast today, and has urged the lawmakers of the country to support him in this movement. Modi is also going to inaugurate the Defence Expo in Tamil Nadu. BJP has blamed the Congress party and the opposition for the disruption that is caused in the Parliament. The Prime Minister gave an audio statement, in which he asked other legislators and the members of BJP party to fast today, and took a dig at others by saying that this was being done expose a handful of people who were trying to damage the democracy of the country.

He added, that the party that was unsuccessful at gaining any kind of trust from the public and lost the elections in 2014, was trying to damage the country, as they tried to disrupt the proceedings of the Parliament, this fast is an attempt to expose their attempts to harm the country. Amit Shah is scheduled to protest in Hubli in Karnataka, where elections are going to be held on May 12.

Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Congress party, had previously this week held a fast, but it became an issue to mock, as people pointed out that the time limit for it was even shorter than what the common people usually face. Fast With PM modi is a hashtag that has been trending for a while on social media to support the media.
