Nandan Nilekani may return to Infosys as Non-Executive Chairman

Nandan Nilekani is likely to return to India’s second largest software Company Infosys as Chairman. After the Vishal Sikka resignation as CEO and MD of Infosys limited firm, the founders and the former senior official chose the co-founder Nandan Nilekani as the head of India’s second largest company, as per the reports. Nandan Nilekani is the co founder of the Infosys company who founded it 36 years ago at the age of 26 with six other members. Nilekani is the architect of Aadhaar along with the co founder of Infosys. He returning back to Infosys with the aim of achieving a bunch of predetermined goals by restoring investor, customer and employee confidence in the company. As per the reports, Nandan Nilekani is set to return to Infosys BSE 2.14%.

The former CEO of Infosys Vishal Sikka resigned from his post of CEO on Friday citing an increase in personal attacks. As per the reports of several media organization Vishal Sikka resigned because of the differences between him and the founder especially NR Narayana Murthy. Infosys marks roller-coaster week after Vishal Sikka step down as CEO with a controversial statement of blaming NR Narayana Murthy for his exit. As per the reports, this dramatic event of Infosys shocked stock markets and wiped out nearly $4 billion of Infosys’s market value.

Nandan Nilekani is an Indian entrepreneur, bureaucrat, politician and after the successful career at Infosys, he became the Chairman of the (UIDAI) Unique Identification Authority of India. Sources said that Infosys NR Narayana Murthy asked Nilekani to revive the company’s struggling fortunes and save the company as being a Non-Executive Chairman.
