Muharram 2017: Islamic New Year holy festival month starts finally

Muharram 2017 the most auspicious festival of Muslims is here. Millions of Muslims across the world celebrating Islamic New Year. It is a 28 days occasion observed by all the Muslim devotees. This is the holy festive season n which Muslims devotees attend special prayers and meetings in the mosques or their private homes. This occasion marks for 28 days according to the Islamic calendar. And on this festival Muslims keep fast on 9th, 10th and 11th days of the occasion. It is the month of mourning and celebrating the Battle of Karbala in September month.

Muharram 2017 starts from 21st September 2017 and continues until 19th October 2017. This auspicious festival considered by the Quran that marked by God Allah as a holy period. It marks the first month of Islamic calendar as January marks the first month of the Gregorian Calendar. The Sunni and Shia Muslims have different traditions linked to Muharram as the followers of Shia Muslims commemorate the grandson of Muhammad. While Sunni Muslims fast on the 10th day of Muharram, as this is marked in religious scriptures

This occasion is a historical significance that marks the death date of Hussein ibn Ali. It is a holy festive season to pay homage to God Allah.
