Mann Ki Baat, Narendra Modi lauds young achievers, and other highlights

Prime Minister Narendra Modi held his months address for the nation through his monthly radio show, Mann Ki Baat. He began his speech by remembering freedom fighter, Chandra Shekhar Azad, and how his zeal for the freedom of the nation has inspired the youth. He also lauded him for his strength in the face of oppression from the Britishers. He spoke about the nature, and how people blame excessive rain for the havoc that has been caused to our surroundings, but even its humans whose treatment of nature also creates tensions in the weather and results in calamities.

He also told an inspiring story from Madhya Pradesh, about a poverty stricken family. A student, Asharam Chadudhary struggled through his lie, but because of his dedication to studies was able to secure a no. 1 place in the MBBS examinations for AIIMs Jodhpur.

He also appreciated other students who hail from an impoverished background, who have worked hard and shown strength of will have achieved their goals that is now a reason for inspiration for many others, like Prince Kumar from Delhi, whose father is a DTC bus driver, or Abhay Gupta from Kolkata who used to study in the illumination of the streetlights.
