Mann Ki Baat, Narendra Modi celebrates the access of electricity to all villages in India

Narendra Modi held his monthly radio talk, Mann Ki Baat, today, and talked about the accomplishment of the government in making electricity available in every village of the nation. On twitter, he wrote, “28th April 2018 will be remembered as a historic day in the development journey of India. Yesterday, we fulfilled a commitment due to which the lives of several Indians will be transformed forever! I am delighted that every single village of India now has access to electricity.” He also congratulated all the winners and participants in the Common wealth games 2018, and stated that the performances of the Indian sportspeople was special because it had so many path breaking wins in different fields.

He spoke about the enthusiasm towards the Fit India movement, and noted the contribution of Actor Akshay Kumar in the movement. Modi also pointed out that the government was doing its utmost in conservation of water, from Manarkovil, Chiran Mahadevi, Kovilpatti or Pudukottai in Tamil Nadu, with management for droughts, rock inscription on irrigation and other methods to ease the wastage of water.

He greeted everyone for Ramzan and Buddh Purnima, calling the latter a special occasion for the people of India. Lastly, he asked the youth of India to keep contributing to the New India initiative, to make it self reliant and more powerful.
