On the day of Diwali, Lakshmi/Laxmi puja is observed during pradosh Kaal which comes after sunset and remain for 2hours 30 min. People believe that If Lakshmi Puja is done during Sthir Lagna of Pradosh Kaal, goddess Lakshmi will stay in their home. During Diwali, Vrishabha Lagna is considered as Sthir and overlaps with Pradosh Kaal. people decorate their home and temples with lights and rangoli on the day of Lakshmi pujan. rangoli art is done to welcome goddess Lakshmi and considered as auspicious. People observe Lakshmi puja and believe that Mata Lakshmi blesses them and their family with wealth and happiness.

Lakshmi Puja Muhurta – 7:11 PM to 8:15 PM
Duration – 1 Hour 4 Mins
Pradosh Kaal = 5:43 PM to 8:15 PM
Vrishabha Kaal = 7:11 PM to 9:05 PM

Lakshmi Puja vidhi

People in India decorate their homes and offices with flowers and leaves of Ashoka, mango, and banana on Diwali for Lakshmi Puja. It is considered auspicious to keep Kalash covered with unpeeled coconut in the temple of the house. For Lakshmi Puja, one should place idols of Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha on a platform with red cloth. Place navgrah on the left side of the idol of goddess Lakshmi. A lotus flower is also considered as auspicious for the Lakshmi pujan. Keep roli, moli, paan, clove, cardamom, supari, kapoor, dhup and deep in puja thali. Devotees observe fast on the day of Lakshmi Puja and open their fast in evening after Lakshmi Puja. follow the puja vidhi of Mata Lakshmi as:
