Kulbhushan Jadhav Case Latest Update: ICJ will hear case in 2019

International Court of Justice (ICJ) will hear a case of Indian citizen Kulbhushan Jadhav in February next year. Jadhav (47) was sentenced to death by a military court in Pakistan in April last year on charges of espionage. Pakistan claims that its security forces arrested Jadhav from his Balochistan province in March 2016. He allegedly entered Iran from the border of Pakistan. At the same time, India has denied these allegations. India had turned ICJ in May last year against this decision. The ICJ had banned the execution of Jadhav’s death till the final verdict on India’s appeal. Geo TV has quoted sources as saying that the International Court will hear a week on a weekly basis in February next year.

In his plea, Pakistan has said that Jadhav is not an ordinary person because he entered the country with the intention of espionage and carried out destructive activities. A Pakistani military court has reportedly heard the execution of Kulbhushan Jadhav in April last year in connection with espionage case. After lifting this case from India, the International Court of Justice has banned Kulbhushan’s sentence.

In which Baloch activist Mama Qadir has claimed that Kulbhushan Jadhav was kidnapped from Iran’s Chabahar at the behest of Pakistan’s ISI. Qadir Baloch is the Vice President of the organization ‘Voice of Missing Baloch‘. He said that the co-ordinators of this organization have been informed that Jadhav was abducted from Iran. Kadir said, “Our conveners were present there.
