The Nation is set to celebrate 72nd Independence day on 15th August. Keeping the security measures ahead of the Independence Day, the Delhi Metro will keep parking closed at all the stations till 2pm on August 15, Wednesday. The security have stepped up at complete Delhi NCR, IGI, Delhi Metro stations with additional CISF team of 600 forces tasked on to provide security measure at 210 stations in all over Delhi NCR. In order to maintain the strict checking, passengers on the airport will go through double security check at all the terminals of the airports. Also close eye will be kept for all the vehicles entering at the airport.
The Central Industrial Security Force will take proper measure in terms of security with the help of special surveillance smart tools and other equipment’s. Delhi metro service will be as their usual schedule, however train services between Indraprastha and Manid House station will put on hold during the time of convoy passes through Tilak Marg. Metro stations, Lal quila, Jama Masjid, Delhi Gate and ITO will allow entry and exit of passengers from limited gates during the ceremony time due to security purpose.

Red fort entry for the public is closed from morning 8 August till 15 August, 2018 as per the order issues by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) till the Independence Day celebration is over. Prime Minster Narendra Modi will unfurl the national flag to mark the 72nd Independence Day of India on August 15.
