Khattar government orders teacher to perform religious duties in Kapalmochan Mela

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, defense on the order of teachers religious duties in Kapalmochan Mela. In Yamuna Nagar district of Haryana, BJP government asked teachers to participate in the distribution of Prashad in Kapalmochan pooja and also conducted training. The issue occurred when some teacher failed to report for the training. Manohar Lal Khattar government has now sought an explanation from them as to why did they fail to come in training program. The SDO also asked District Education department for disciplinary action against the teachers, who are not available for the training.

Now government school teachers accused BJP of pursuing “Hindutva agenda” in the Hindu festival event, Kapalmochan Mela in the village.

On Wednesday Jawar Yadav as BJP spokesman define Manohar Lal Khattar Government decision, and said to Media that teachers are not being asked to perform priest duty in fair. The order was only making arrangements for the festival and there is no any “Hindutva agent” behind this order. He also said that studies of students would not be affected by this order as duties were during school holidays.

Kapalmochal Mela is a big event, performed every year in the village of Yamunanagar district. lakhs of devotees attend this event, and about 5 lakh people are expected to come this year for Mela.
