Kasganj communal clash killed one; Firing erupted over Tiranga Yatra in Uttar Pradesh

Communal clashes erupted in Kasganj area of Uttar Pradesh which killed one and injured several others. As per the reports, tension prevailed when some unknown people hurled the stones over the motorcycle rally which has been taken out by volunteers of Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Akhil Bhartiya Parishad on the Mathura-Bareilly highway. The officials reported that a man was killed in the firing between two groups in Uttar Pradesh Kasganj district. And the communal clash erupted over an unauthorised rally of the bikers which held to mark Republic day.

According to the police, 22-years-old Chandan Gupta was died after getting hit with the bullet on his chest. After being shot in the leg Noushad was immediately admitted to the hospital of the neighbouring district Aligarh. Before the firing, both groups have hurled the stones at each other in Kasganj town, said police. In this clash, several people were also get injured. The eye-witness reported that the communal clash erupted after some unidentified people hurled the stones over the bikers. A number of vehicles and shops were also vandalised in this communal clash. Additional DG Anand Kumar said that the situation was immediately controlled by the police and said it seems like a pre-planned clash.

Then the violence was contained by the team deployed for Republic Day celebrations. The Reserve Police lines which are around 16 km away from the incident had rushed to the spot. However, BJP’s Kasganj district chief, Purendra Pratap Singh Solanki had denied allegations over his party. He said our party was not involved in the clash. And the Additional District Magistrate of Kasganj, Rakesh Kuma said that the Tiranga Yatra rally was taken out in the area without any permission from the administration. And he claimed that clash erupted when the Tiranga Yatra was taken out by the local residents.
