Karva Chauth is being celebrated today everywhere in Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Mumbai, Faridabad and Ghaziabad. It is most awaited festival for women as tonight has very significant role in Indian festivals. Women observe fasting on this day for the full day even without water. They open their fast in the night after spotting moon. They follow their rituals of Karwa Chauth Vrat and feel blessed after seeing the moon. Everyone, even children on Karwa Chauth is very excited to see the moon. Moonrise time in India is 8.16 PM. Women do pooja of moon according to their tradition after seeing the moon. They first see the moon from the sieve and then to their husband and then they open their fast by taking water with their husband’s hand.

It is also said that worship of Lord Ganesha is also necessary on Karwa Chauth. Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati also worship Moon and Lord Ganesh on this day. Women also worship Goddess Parvati as a form of Karwa Mata. It is also believed that if women do fast on Karwa Chauth they will gain boons equal to 100 Fast.  Moon on this day is in special nakshatra which gives special warmth in relationship or husband and wife. Karwa Chauth Moon always attracts everyone with its beauty. Women are curious to know about the moon timing in their cities.
