Justice Vishwanath Shetty stabbed in Lokayuta office in Karnataka, in critical condition

Justice Vishwanath Shetty was stabbed three times in the Lokayuta office, in Karnataka while he was hearing a case, revealing a crucial security loophole in the ombudsman’s office. He was rushed to the Mallya Hospital and is currently being treated for the wounds in the emergency section, he is in critical condition. The supposed culprit has been named as, Tejas Sharma, and according to some reports he was facing inquiry in multiple cases. A very important detail because of which the attack might have taken place is that the metal detectors in the office premises are defunct, which easily allowed the criminal to enter with a metal object with him and attack Shetty.

People have criticized the lack of security in the building that led to the attack and injury. The eye witnesses have said that the person stabbed the justice three times,  which made him fall to the ground and that there was no security in the vicinity to stop the attacker. B. S Yeddureppa wrote on twitter, expressing his shock about the attack, he said that the security issues are turning from being bad to worse, and urged the Chief Minister of Karnataka to tackle the kind of lawlessness that is running rampant in the state without any inhibitions. There have been no reports on the status of the Justice, but Chief Minister Siddaramaiah reached Mallya Hospital to meet Shetty.
