India conducts successful test of Advanced Air Defence missile in Odisha

India has successfully test fired indigenously Developed Advanced Air Defence Supersonic Interceptor Missile in Odisha Today. Indian Defence department has tested an AAD which was developed by the DRDO. It is another great achievement for Indians as the Defence Research and Development Organisation has developed the Advanced Air Defence Supersonic Interceptor Missile. Also, it has successfully tested in Odisha from the Test range. The newly developed AAD is capable of destroying any incoming ballistic missiles at low altitude. The Advanced Air Defence Supersonic Interceptor Missile was able to successfully intercept any ballistic missile which is flying at an altitude in the lower atmosphere of 18 miles from the earth’s surface.

According to the reports, it was a direct hit and grand success for the Defence Research and Development Organisation said defence sources. Today’s successful test was fired to validate various parameters of the Interceptor in flight mode. After the successful test fire by the DRDO, every one of Twitter extended their congratulations to DRDO for AAD success.

Advanced Air Defence Supersonic Interceptor Missile is 24-foot long single solid rocket which is attached to the guiding equipment including a navigation system, electro-mechanical activator and a high tech computer. The missile also supports advanced technology such as mobile launcher, independent tracking, radars, house capabilities and the data link for the interception. The Defence Research and Development Organisation’s newly launched missile is the target missile named AAD (Advanced Air Defence Supersonic Interceptor), which was able to intercept any ballistic missile. A tactical surface to surface short-range ballistic missile AAD will beat popular Prithvi missile, was launched from complex three of integrated test range in Chandipur, Odisha.

Advanced Air Defence Supersonic Interceptor was positioned by the DRDO at Abdul Kalam island which was previously known as the wheeler island of the Bay of Bengal.
