Income Tax Department of India once again reminded users for filing their ITR (Income Tax Return) by 31st July, today, through a twitter message. Those eligible to pay their income tax can avail the facility of filing their return online through http://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/ portal. Recently IT Department initiated a drive to link Aadhar Card (UIDAI) to PAN Card for better portability and accountability.
Users are supposed to register themselves using their PAN card and their personal details. New users can register themselves on https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/e-Filing/Registration/RegistrationHome.html. Once the registration process is through , users can login and file their return. Refund generated for the tax payers by Income tax department will be directly credited to Tax Payer’s bank account.
This year , IT Department has provided facility for Non residents ( NRI), who are not residing in India and want to claim refunds & are not having bank account in India. may furnish details of one foreign account in ITR for issuance of refund.

2. Login with your username and password, If not registered

3. Upload Form 16 and all the supporting document
4. File your e-return
