Himachal Pradesh’s 48th foundation day commemorates today

Himachal Pradesh commemorates its 48th foundation day today. On 25th January 1971, Himachal Pradesh one of the most beautiful states in India was founded. It was declared as the eighteenth state of the country in 1971. However, post Independence on 15th April 1948, Himachal was created as the province. In 1950, Himachal became a sub-state. And later on in 1956, the state was declared as the union territory. After that on 18th December 1970, the state of Himachal Pradesh act was passed by the parliament. And finally, on 25th January 1971, Himachal was declared as the eighteenth state of India and since the foundation day of the state celebrated on this day.

Himachal foundation day marks the public holiday across the state on 25th January. Y.S. Parmar was the first chief minister of Himachal Pradesh. He was the leader of the Indian National Congress party and the founder of Himachal Pradesh. Since 1971, only five leaders have become the chief minister of the state. And currently, BJP’s leader Virbhadra Singh. Himachal Pradesh is the most beautiful Indian state. And it is comprised of a number of hill station which attracts tourist from all over the world. Some of the famous hill stations of Himachal Pradesh are Kasol, Chail, Dalhousie, Manali, Dharamshala and Shimla. It is the north-Indian state which is famous for the apple orchards.

On the foundation day of Himachal Pradesh, various ministers along with PM Modi extended greetings to the people of Himachal Pradesh. Also, Bharatiya Janta Party’s chief Amit Shah has also greeted the state people. He tweeted “Greetings to all the Himachal state people. I pray for the development of the state. And said soon the new era will begin in Himachal Pradesh which will take the state towards development”. Himachal Pradesh state is popularly known as Devbhoomi which means a place of god.
