Himachal Pradesh election 2017: BJP’s CM face, Prem Kumar Dhumal loses to Rajendra Rana

Prem Kumar Dhumal, the BJP’s chief ministerial candidate lost in Himachal Pradesh, earlier he was trailing behind with nearest competitor with 3100 votes. The BJP’s CM candidate Prem Kumar Dhumal was trailing Congress incumbent leader Rajendra Rana from Sujanpur. Earlier trends reported head to head battle between BJP and Congress in both the states which directly affected BSE and NSE.

Latest trends show that BJP is the clear winner in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh, However, the BJP-Congress have inlined their prominent candidates for 68 seats in Himachal elections. The incumbent Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh and congress candidate, Virbhadra Singh is battling strongly with anti-incumbency and the corruption charges. The BJP is all set for big win in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh state elections.

In Himachal Pradesh, voting took place on 9th November which marked total 74% of voter turnout. The Congress made Virbhadra Singh a primary face of elections while BJP fielded Prem Kumar Dhumal who is the former CM of Himachal Pradesh.

Prem Kumar Dhumal is the father of BJP MP Anurag Thakur whose name cropped up during BCCI fiasco, between Lodha committee and the proganization. Ironically Anurag Thakur father-in-law also lost his seat in Himachal Pradesh Assembly Elections.
