Haryana TCP to entertain only online submissions

Haryana’s Town and Country Planning Department would entertain only online applications, payments and compliances soon, an official said on Monday.

Applications for the grant of Change of Land Use (CLU), extension of CLU, release of bank guarantee and extension of community sites in the state would be accepted online from October 2 (Gandhi Jayanti), an official spokesman said.

Besides, it has decided to accept all payments and compliances online from September 18.

“This would make things easy for the people, increase work efficiency of the department and put an end to the possibility of corruption through maximum use of information technology,” the spokesman said.

Documents related to CLU have to be submitted separately to the officer concerned once the online application receipt is generated.

The spokesman said the department had launched e-Payments to receive online payments and e-Compliance, to receive mandatory compliances against Rules 24, 26, 27 and 28 of the Haryana Development and Regulation of Urban Areas Rules, 1976.

“From September 18, all payments and compliances against Rules 24, 26, 27 and 28 would be received in online mode only,” he added.

CLU approvals, especially for residential, commercial and institutional projects, are considered significant in Haryana, especial in the National Capital Region (NCR) areas given the high property value there. Hundreds of CLUs have been granted in goldmine districts like Gurugram (earlier Gurgaon) and Faridabad in the last few years.
