Section 144 imposed all over Delhi, Noida and Ghaziabad after the Dera Violence spread across several areas of Delhi like Shahdara, Loni Road, Mayapuri, Welcome and Rohini. And several districts of Punjab and Haryana imposed a curfew. Violence spiralled out of the situation after Gurmeet Ram Rahim got convicted of sexual assault in a court verdict pronounced today. Sentencing which will decide the quantum of punishment has been scheduled for 28th August. A truck filled with Army and Para-Military Battalions moved inside court premises for security.
Currently, Dera Sacha Sauda Chief Ram Rahim has reached Rohtak Jail, he was transferred using a helicopter. 12 deaths in Panchkula have been reported due to protest erupting because of the ruling. Curfew has been declared in Ferozpur and Bhatinda in Punjab State to curb violence. Incidents of violence in several parts of Haryana and Punjab is being reported.
Minimum Jail Term announced is expected to range between 7 Years to 10 years. Several followers are standing outside court premises were seen crying and looked stunned. Attempt is made to disperse the protesters outside court using tear gas shell, who have gathered in large numbers. Reports of few rowdy elements attacking media vehicles came outside court premises.
Earlier Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh chief of Dera Sacha Sauda reached Panchkula court. Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh reached Panchkula in afternoon amid unprecedented security. The followers of Ram Rahim overflowed on twitter with hashtag I support ‘MSG’. Outer Delhi borders that are linked to Haryana are deployed with paramilitary forces ahead of the Ram Rahim verdict. Gurmeet Ram Rahim accused of sexually exploiting two women followers of the Dera Sacha Sauda in 2002.
11:30 PM– As per Haryana DGP B.S. Sandhu Stuation in Panchkula town is “totally under control” and rioters have been pushed out of the town. The DGP said that 550 Dera Sacha Sauda supporters had been detained and 65 vehicles confiscated. Three rifles and three pistols were also seized from the rioters .
60 policemen are injured in the clashes. There are still some tension in Sirsa.

5:55 PM – Incidents of violence has been reported from several parts in India. Unverified reports of DTC Bus and 2 train coaches bein burned have been reported.
5:50 PM : Helicopter carrying Rape convict and Dera Chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim reach Rohtak Jail.
04:44 PM – 3 Deaths have been reported in Panchkula. Police and Rapid Action Force are firing tear gas shells to counter humongous amount of protestors.
04:18 PM – Curfew has been declared in Ferozpur and Bhatinda in Punjab State. Electricity House being burned in Sangroor by protestors has been reported.
03:15 PM – Gurmeet Ram Rahim pronounced guilty of sexual assault. His supporters outside court premises look stunned. Some reports of protesters causing damage to media van parked outside are reported.
01:45 PM – Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh reached Panchkula in afternoon to hear the court verdict for rape and sexual exploitation case.
12:40 PM – As per the sources the Ram Rahim rape case verdict to be declared today around 2.30 pm.
12:09 PM – Around 14 police picketing posts have been set up and a company of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) has been also deployed in outer Delhi, that borders Haryana a senior police officer told IANS.
