Gujarat assembly 2017: BJP Central Election Committee Releases third list of 28 candidates

Today the third list of 28 BJP candidates for upcoming Gujarat assembly 2017 is released by BJP Central Election Committee. On Saturday the party has released a second list of 36 candidates and the first list of 70 candidates was released on Friday. Overall, the BJP Central Election Committee has announced 134 candidates for Gujarat elections 2017. The Gujrat Assembly elections to be held in two phases on 9 December and 14 December.

The new list includes the sitting MLA and former cabinet Minister Saurabh Patel, who will contest from Botad and sitting MLA and Assembly Speaker Raman Vora, who will contest from the Scheduled Caste (SC) seat of Dasada. Former Minister Govindbhai Patel will be contesting from his sitting seat Rajkot (South) according to the BJP list. The Kodinar SC seat will be contested by Rambhai Vadher.

Chief Minister Vijaybhai Rupani will contest from Rajkot West, while state party president Jitubhai Vaghani from Bhavnagar West and deputy CM Nitinbhai Patel will contest from Mahesana. The names of the members were finalized by Central Election Committee of BJP government, which met on Wednesday.

The BJP’s rule in Gujrat for over two decades. The election will be held in two phases, the first phase will cover 89 constituencies in 19 districts on 9 December, and the second phase 93 seats in 14 districts on 14 December. However, the result of Gujarat assembly 2017 will be announced on December 18.
