French President Emmanuel Macron visits India, wants India to become France’s best partner in Europe

French President Emmanuel Macron has come to India on a four day visit,  where he recieved his welcome at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi. Macron said that India and France have a good chemistry, and the two have a historic relationship with each other. Brigitte Marie-Claude Macron, his wife, and some other officials have also joined him on the tour. President Emmanuel also visited Rajghat to pay their respects to Mahatma Gandhi. Emmanuel has said that he would like India to be France’s best partner in Europe. The congress party, last night lobbed an attack on Modi by tweeting, that the French President had said earlier that he doesn’t have any trouble if Modi wants to disclose any details regarding the Rafeal case, so what was keeping the Prime Minister from doing it.

Emmaunuel is going to visit the Modi’s constituency, Varanasi, and Mirzapur where they’re going to inaugurate a 100 MW solar power plant. President Macron and Brigitte are also scheduled to visit the Taj Mahal.

Narendra Modi had visited France when Emmanuel was elected as the President of that country, in June last year. The two countries surely have amicable relationship with each other and both would be meeting into strengthen their bonds even further.

Modi and Macron will be chairing a joint conference of the International Solar Alliance (ISA), tomorrow. It is an flagship Indian initiative that was launched by the Modi and Macron together in 2015, and will be very crucial in the moment, as Trump has already pulled out of the initiative.
