Two wheeler maker Eicher Motors Ltd on Friday said it had logged 22 per cent sales growth last month.
In a statement, the company said it sold 67,977 units last month up from 55,721 units sold in Aug 2016.
The company also said it has begun commercial production at its third manufacturing facility at Vallam Vadagal near here.
Spread over 50 acres, the Vallam Vadagal plant will manufacture Royal Enfield motorcycles for India and international markets.
In FY 2017-18, the combined production capacity from all the three plants is planned to be 825,000 units, the statement added.
