Dhanteras is observed as the first day of five-days of Diwali festival. It falls on the 13th day known as Tryodashi of the Hindu Kartik month. People in Hindu religion believe that on the day of Dhanteras goddess Lakshmi came out along with Lord Kuber (God of wealth) during the churning of the milky ocean.
