Depression over the coastal Odisha; Heavy rainfall likely to witness for next 24 hrs to 48 hrs

Last Night the monsoon depression over the coastal Odisha has moved northward the Bay of Bengal. As per the reports of Press Information Bureau, the monsoon is heading forward the North West Bay of Bengal near the Latitude 20.8º N and longitude 86.5º E about 25Kms west of Chandbali. And it is expected to move nearly northwards from some time and then the north-northeastwards. It is also reported that the Rainfall at most of the places are likely to be heavy and over the coastal Odisha or the isolated places heavy rainfall will be expected during next 24 hours.

Today, the Press Information Bureau has released the warning notification for the depression over Coastal Odisha. It has also reported that Rainfall at the isolated places is likely over the Gangetic West Bengal in next 24 hours and over the Sub Himalayan West Bengal likely to be for next 48 hours. As per the reports, the sea condition would be rough at the coastal Odisha for next 12 hrs also the fisherman are advised not to venture into the coast during next 24 hrs.

Rainfall at many isolated places like Jharkhand, Mizoram, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland and Manipur likely to mar heavy thundershowers for next 24 hrs and 48 hrs respectively. Similarly, the isolated areas like West Assam and Meghalaya likely to have rainfall for next 48 hrs. The PIB has also released the wind warning that includes that around 45-55 kmph, 30-40 kmph to 50 kmph gusting to 65 kmph would prevail along & off Odisha and West Bengal coasts and north Odisha during next 12 hrs.
