On Independence Day Delhi Metro Train services will run normally as per the usual scheduled timings on all the lines. As per report no Delhi metro would be closed and trains will be available for passengers from 5 AM until 11 PM. But parking on the Delhi metro would be closed on 14th and 15th August, for Independence Day and security reasons. The parking will be prohibited at Delhi Metro stations from 2 pm on August 14 till 2 pm on August 15. The Delhi Metro will make announcements for the same at every metro station regarding the prohibition of parking due to the Independence Day. For those who want to join in the celebration for the Independence day can board train for Chandni Chowk Metro station in tomorrow morning. Trains on the Delhi Metro system will start working from 4.30 am tomorrow to facilitate movement of the public for the Independence Day function. The Delhi Metro service has already instructed all the parking contractors that parking will remain close and will must kept clean thoroughly in the in the spirit of ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’. Also officials may inspect the parking sites for strict compliance and security measurements.
