Delhi metro services halted at Rajiv Chowk Metro Station today on Bhai dooj
Delhi metro delayed for 45 minutes on Saturday morning due to a technical glitch in the most crowded station of Delhi Metro (Rajiv Chowk metro station). Noida/Vaishali to Dwarka route remained closed for about 45 minutes which causes a lot of trouble for commuters. People said they faced many problems due to the inconvenience from DMRC as metro halted at Yamuna bank station for almost an hour. The passengers were finally evacuated through the emergency gate of a metro train. Due to Bhai Dooj festival rush is double today at the metro station which increased the difficulties for commuters.
According to Delhi Metro, pantograph of the train got entangled in overhead equipment (OHE) between Rajiv Chowk and RK Ashram section on the line going from Noida towards Dwarka around 9:20 AM in the morning and the train movement was restored after 10:05 AM.

Due to frequent snags, connects Dwarka Sector 21 to Noida City Centre/Vaishali, two branches of Blue Line had gained considerable infamy. The spokesperson of metro train said that trains were run on the short loop between Yamuna Bank and Noida/Vaishali and between Karol Bagh and Dwarka Sec-21. He also said Single line train operations were carried out between Karol Bagh and Yamuna Bank section.
