More than 1.2 Crore Jobs created Since 2017, CSO report claims

CSO Report Stature in India: During the ten-month period Since 2017, in India, there were about 1.2 million Job-employment opportunities created. This information has been presented in the report of the Central Statistics Office (CSO). The employment scenario report of the CSO is based on the nomination of new members, Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO), Employees State Insurance Scheme (ESIC) and NPS. As per the report, From September 2017 to June 2018 total 1,19,66,126 new members were added under ESIC’s health insurance scheme and employed from employer state insurance (ESI). Total 13,18,395 recorded as Most new members who were enrolled in May this year.

Similarly, 1,07,54,348 new members are associated with the Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO), while the number of 60,40,616 members has been decreased in the past ten months. It has been stated in this CSO report 2017 that during this period, approximately 6,10,573 new shareholders were associated with the National Pension Scheme (NPS).

CSO report is based on the employment scenario from September 2017 to June 2018. This is based on the administrative records available with select government agencies (EPFO, ESIC, and PFRDA). The CSO said that this report gives information on various aspects of job creation in the organized sector. But it can not be considered a comprehensive report.

In January, PM Modi released employment figures in the country in the interview given to G media. When PM Modi said that nearly 4-5 lakh jobs are being created every now and then. In such a situation, we may have to create one crore jobs. PM Modi had said that in this year about 70 lakh people are associated with the EPF. We have announced the MUDRA scheme. Anyone who wants to do his business could get a loan through this.
