How Chirag Paswan played an master-stroke ahead of 2019 Polls?

Lok Janshakti Party (LPG), which has been involved in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), has given an ultimatum to the Modi government till August 9 to bring the amendment to the SC / ST Bill before the end of the monsoon session of Parliament. Union minister Ram Vilas Paswan’s son and Samas Chirag Paswan of Lake Janshakti Party gave an ultimatum to the Central Government till August 9 saying that if our demand is not met then the Lok Janshakti Party can make any decision. LJP MP and parliamentary board chairperson Chirag Pawan have said, “Dalits are now losing their patience. If our demands were not completed before August 9, then the Dalit army would be forced to land on the streets and in such manner Lok Janshakti Party. The Central Government should issue an ordinance in the ongoing monsoon session of Parliament regarding the SC / ST act. “

Opposition parties and NDA allies have urged the government to bring about a legal change through parliamentary amendment. Nearly 25 Dalit MPs from the NDA, home of LPG chief and Ram Vilas Paswan, had held a meeting in which the government had expressed objections to the appointment of retired Justice Adarsh Kumar Goel as chairman of the National Green Tribunal. At the beginning of this year, the Supreme Court had ordered to put filters on immediate arrest in cases registered under this Act.

Dalit organizations across the country had protested against the decision in the first week of April. Nine people lost their lives as a result of violence. The SC had also dismissed the government’s review petition in the matter.

A two-member bench of Justices Goyal and Justice UU Lalit had gave an order in SC / ST Bill on March this year. BJP MP Udit Raj raised this issue in the Lok Sabha in the beginning of this week.
