Chhath Puja 2017: Delhi Government arrange 457 Yamuna Ghat

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal reviewed the preparation of Chhath Puja in Delhi and decided to develop 457 Yamuna Ghats this year for offering Chhath puja. Whereas last year Delhi Government arranged only 286 Ghats for Chhath festival. Delhi government develop 50 ghats as permanent ghats and about 400 temporary ghats. Arvind Kejriwal did a meeting with Deputy Chief Minister, Manish Sisodia, Irrigation and Flood Control Minister, Revenue Minister, all MLAs and the Chief Secretary apart from other senior officials of the Delhi Government and asked them to make all arrangements on time and ensure that the people should not face any problem while offering Puja on the occasion of Chhath festival.

The revenue department arranged proper tentage and lighting. Also, they fix various CCTV and security persons on all the ghats, while rest of the arrangements will be done by the irrigation and flood control department. Many mobile toilet vans, ambulances, and medical facilities are also be arranged at the Yamuna Ghats. Development Minister also informs that this year the festival of Chhath puja will be celebrated in Delhi admirable manner and  Delhi government going to take all mandatory steps to make this festival successful. This year devotees can do Chhath Puja with more comfortably and dedication in Delhi.
