Carry on Jatta 2 movie review: A joyful experience

Carry on Jatta, directed by Smeep Kang and starring Gippy Grewal, Sonam Bajwa, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Binnu Dhillon, Jaswinder Bhalla, Karamjit Anmol, BN Sharma, Upasana Singh & Jyotii Sethi is a joyful comedy that is surely going to appeal to people who like to be entertained with funny gags and tuneful music. The movie is a sequel to the wildly successful, Carry on Jatta, and is about a man named Jass, who wants to go to canada by any means possible. His friend, Honey is trying to help him achieve his dreams, even as Jass’s advocate mocks him for any oppportunity he gets. Jass falls in love with a girl named Meet, but complications arrive when there are particular qualities that she wants in her husband.

The premise of the movie is simple enough, but the characters and the dialogues are the ones that make the project special. Gippy Grewal, as always is fantastic in the role, and his comic timing should be lauded, because he makes the line that shouldn’t work, sing like they’re coming naturally from his mouth. Gurpreet Ghuggi and Sonam Bajwa should also be praised for supporting Gippy, and they have many great moments that will be quoted and remember by the audiences long after they have gone to home. The movie is long, but the duration hardly matters if the audiences are having fun, and the best thing about it is that, even though there aren’t any big surprises in store, you won’t be able to look away from the screen.

Carry on Jatta is a harmless comedy, and that its actually funny is another of its advantage. The movie is directed by stylish vigor by Kang, and looks beautiful. This is unmissable fun for people who want to have a pleasant time at the cinema.
