In 2018 UP Board’s high school and intermediate examination, more than 67 lakh candidates were involved. In these examinations, nearly 12 lakh student has already been out of the race before the results come to an end. A total of 67 lakh 29 thousand 540 candidates, including 37 lakh 12 thousand 508 in High school and 30 lakh 17 thousand 32 in the intermediate examination of the UP Board, had enrolled to become the examinee. Even before the commencement of the examination, the board examined the applications with intensive scrutiny, where the application of 83 thousand 753 applications including 49 thousand 384 high schools and 34 thousand 369 of the intermediate did not get correct, admit cards of these students were not issued.

Before the start of Examinations, special strictness arrangements and CCTV Cameras were applied to monitor the exams. Yogi Government has employed the highest number of Special Task force and other security agencies/units to make sure that exams are conducted efficiently. During this time, more than 11 lakh 29 thousand examinations were not reached at the examination centre. Out of these, more than 4.5Lakh candidates were from Intermediate, who have left the examination of a single/double subject. And it is sure that they will be failed.

High school students who have left the examination of two subjects have also failed, only those candidates will be able to pass who leave only a single paper/exam. In this way, more than 12 lakh students have been almost out of the race. Now only 55 lakh examiners have the curiosity to fail or pass. UP Board secretary Nina Srivastava says that the candidates whose applications have been cancelled or who have fled the examination were confident of copying. In the examinations, arrangements were made to prevent duplication/cheating in the examinations, and it was government instructions. Only meritorious students are happy, rest who were believed in Cheating, skip the exams.
